Types Of Negative thoughts- Which one do you have?

To help you understand which negative though type you might have, we tell you below some of the major ones.

  1. Never looking at the positive- You have just stooped looking at the positive aspect of anything and everything. For instance If you are appreciated for something or something good happens to you, you start finding the negative reason. He/she did this to me because he/she wants this from me.

  2. Hopping to conclusions- This includes you predicting the future. For instance- if you go to a meeting, you start thinking that you will ruin it. Even when you are well prepared for it, you start thinking that it will go wrong. This is the major sign of negative thoughts.

  3. Emotional reasoning- You assume and reason everything emotionally. For instance, you tell yourself that meeting my family makes me restless and so I should not go to meet or see them.

  4. The should sentences- In this, you instead of trying to handle the situations, think of them in the form how they should be. For instance,  if you want to change a job or house you instead start thinking I should have had changed my house by now, I should have been earning this much by now. As a result, this leads to anger, frustration and resentment.

  5. Personalising and blaming- In this negative thought pattern, you think everything is your fault. For instance, if something goes wrong with someone else or you, you start thinking that it happened because of you even when you didn’t have any control or full control on whatever happened.
